..or just tackle the damn runner on that last drive, I honestly think we win. Yeah the OL was terrible as was the run defense, but this team still can win a lot of games by just being better at the LOS. I think both can be accomplished.
Another thing that was interesting was our WRs and DBs were clearly better. I wish we could have exploited that more in the game. It was clear that Underwood wasn't confident throwing the ball and if they were forced to throw they usually failed.

The dumbest move of the day was not taking points on the opening drive. Rhule still hasn’t learned that in the B1G against teams with talent like Michigan, you take the points
You have a very good point except Michigans second to last drive they would have been more aggressive and scored a touchdown instead of kicking a field goal

On side kick definitely. Stop maybe we definitely had the time. Unfortunately we didn't take the 3 and missed a 3

We have the number one passing defense and the worst running defense. So we don't have a defense.
I rewatched a bit to see more clearly what was happening. Shavers and McCullough are studs. The interior DL is just not powerful and gets controlled. I know we can't expect guys like Robinson and Hutmacher every year, but the guys we have now seemed to get shoved around too easily. They also seem slow. Like 5.5 40 slow. Guthrie was in on that long TD run by Marshall and seemed to be the last guy to react to a running play. If you watch here at 6:32 you see how bad it was. That play should have been a 4 yard gain at best.

The DLine stunts nearly every play. the back end did not play their fits correctly. McCullough was basically a dlineman the whole game, leaving 2 LBs and a safety to clean up the run.
I'm super disappointed in RVP. He looked fantastic as a Freshman, and even last year in the small amount he played, wasn't much drop off. This year he seems to just be lacking something. Not sure if it is the stunts or what, but he is off his game. I'd also like to see them just go big against some of the more physical teams. Parrot may suck, but he is bigger than Jeudy and the others. Go with him, RVP and one of the other transfers and then rotate a little bit. At least make the OL work against bigger dudes.

Also, not sure what the heck happened to Lendhart either. Just seems slow with zero moves to rush the passer.

100%. Turning down gimme points is a questionable strategy to overcome losing one score games.
