"How can I do something this week that is dumber than what I did last week"?
There is no reason at this point in the season, especially against a team like MTSU, to do something like this. If you as the coach feel that you have to do something like to beat MTSU, you have no business being a head coach.</p>
or that he was brought in for this one game. Now, I don't agree with the move especially given how little he played, but he's got 4 more games to make a contribution.
We won't gain 200 yards as a team against Bama. So our clusterphuck of an offense needs the help of a true freshman straight off the scout team to compete with Kentucky, Arkansas, and UMiss? Arnil Stallworth was our leading receiver tonight. THERE'S your "gamebreaker". Of course Crooms wasted him last year.
The kid losses a year to play a down or two in this game and has the opportunity to play in four more games that mean absolutely nothing. There is no chance of going to a bowl or having a decent season. So for Croom's dumb *** to burn the kid's red shirt is BS. He could have had an extra year with a new coach hopefully and actually play for a bowl or heaven forbid a chance to play in Atlanta a few years from now. Dumb ***.
but his career will be over a year sooner than it should be. What purpose could he possibly serve in the last 4 games? If he could potentially have had that great an impact then either (a) he should've been playing since game 1, or (b) he should've touched the ball more than ONCE tonight. This is completely indefensible.
The part where I say I disagree with the move, the part where I say AC has 4 more games to contribute, or the part where I say AC wasn't brought in for this one game? Just so you're not confused, I think it was a dumb move - a desperate move - and I wouldn't have done it.
The way Croom forgets about players it wouldn't be surprising if Arceto Clark touches the ball only a couple more times. I'm just hoping Arceto can work his way into the receiver rotation.
