If Corey Stays

I know we all are looking at how well they played the last two nights (corey's last three) but is it possible to think that that tandom could be our version of Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright, two guards who could play the point are able to score and lead the offense.

Now I am not saying Corey is going to go out and win us an NCAA championship as both those guys were 5-star players and Napier is a good rotational NBA player, but I am saying they could help launch us towards a very successful season in 2018-19.

With the additions coming in and hopefully continued growth of guys like Gene, Thiam and Doucoure, corey staying could have a lasting impact on this program.

Or maybe this is just wishful thinking.

Tweet at Sanders and ask him to stay. This stuff has an influence on his decision

there are players who read the internet and also interact with fans.....some do not

It appears that Corey is one who follows twitter and Instagram and really appreciates
the praise he gets for his sterling play..... tactful, respectful posts would not be the
worst thing here...... we let Corey know

I think part of Corey’s calculation regarding his future involves as a minor factor his view of the team’s future. If, in his heart, he sees 2018-‘19 as .500 or slightly better at best, he’s gone; if he thinks (from what we’ve done this year, what he sees of Myles and Peter in practice, what he knows of recruits plus transfers), NCAA Tournament is knocking and he is The Man, it’s a factor.

He will have a chance if he stays to be a nationally known player as the season begins. That was not the case last Sunday. I have no ideas if it matters to him.
