In my world if you cant pay your bills stop spending so much on wants or work longer hours.

I'd be ok with the the student loan relief if it was coupled with a limit on college tuition increases. That is called a compromise. Instead we are throwing out money to stop the symptom, not the problem.

there is no excuse for a college education costing what it does.

Debt forgivness programs for public service I can support. However the point of fixing it going forward is the most important thing I agree with you about.
