Doc took a program that was in bad shape (about the time he played you twice), and built it into a G5 power, one that is nationally ranked well ahead of a majority of the P5 programs. (You can look that up for the last three years, if you don't believe me).

Holgerson took a program that was in decent shape, had one decent season, and then proceeded to ruin it. It's now in shambles. You know it. I know it. And best of all, those that partake in voting in national polls acknowledge it.

Although the way Moral V fans act, 2-10 Purdue should top the list, here’s how I see it. MVU fans will likely agree.


1) 12-2 Southern Miss: 2011

2) 11-3 Northern Illinois: 2014

3) 10-3 East Carolina: 2013

4) 9-5 Louisiana Tech: 2014

One would think, but Maryland was 7-6 so it can't be on the list. That would contradict Moral V fans' line of thinking. Wouldn't it?

Well hell, they list South Carolina as one of their great p5 victories and they were 1-10. And clemson was 6-6.

It's hard to keep track of what a fan base says and claims, that lives vicariously through so many teams and relies so much on moral victories. I don't know how they do it.
