HUNTINGTON — For the second time in six months, Marshall University is losing a backup quarterback to an FCS school in Tennessee.
Michael Birdsong, who entered the 2015 season as the Marshall starter, said Friday he has filled out a financial aid package and agreed to enroll at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn., that plays in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Birdsong, who graduated this month from Marshall, has one year of eligibility.

30 Kelly always seems to be angry. Of course as a fan base, MVU is very happy playing the #236 strongest schedule and padding their win total verses playing a tough challenging schedule. That way when their coach votes them #10 in the country they claim some moral victory over us.
Cato beat nobody....nobody with a pulse at least. This can't really be a football schedule. Has to be womens lacrosse or swimming. Not one real football team....not one.
