I think it adds a flukiness to scoring that makes a win less earned and less likely to produce a win for the better team. May be in the minority, but I think it's dumb to have two different locations for an extra point.

Just another vain attempt by the NFL to try and make its product watchable.
I love it! When guys score a touchdown and need one to tie with 3 minutes left... go for two! I love the pressure on the kicker... I hated the automatic PAT... might as well have made a TD 7 points and did away with that.
I'd rather have the old WFL rule. Give them seven for a touchdown, and have a one point additional try by running or passing from the two YL. Makes more sense than this mess.
If you go for two, make it but get penalized for holding, do you now have the only option of going for two from the 12? Before, you could then kick it. Now, I don't think that's allowed. Having two different lines of scrimmage makes zero sense.
