I feel pissed off. Turned off Bobby and Dolph post game I'm so pissed.
They had a 9 pt lead and pissed that away with TOs.
Most of the players play like they think they don't belong on the same court as who they are playing in the B10. They have really bad spurts that crush them.
I wonder if coach's comment about CK has some truth to it.

That's the one that let me know this season was a valiant first effort, but ultimately done for.
If you're really gonna "take the world by storm" and surprise people with a great turnaround season, you have to win games like that. Doesn't even matter if they rally somewhat later in the season. Losing games like that against Minnesota is moreso an indicator of things to come rather than just an "off-night".

This soon to be 78 year old remembers Pembrook quite well. Don’t know if I will see another Hawk team like that one or even earlier with Lester.

I don’t think anyone realistically thought Iowa was going to beat Purdue at their place. I certainly didn’t. We are upset because we played so well and could have won. I agree with the poster who said the Minnesota loss could hurt more as we look back at the season later. Still, I think if they played how they played most of last night, they could win a few games in a row: Indiana ( maybe - they’re beatable), Rutgers, USC, Washington, Oregon (definitely beatable), NW, Maryland, maybe even Purdue at home. Wishful thinking? Hey, I’ve been a Hawkeyes fan for over five decades.
