Never have flown the flag, and never will fly the current flag of the state of Mississippi. It's damned embarrasing. I'm ashamed to fly the thing. When it is changed, I will happily fly the new flag with pride. This will be one of the greatest decisions MS has ever made. It will immediately put us in a positive spotlight. Who doesn't want that? I'm not advocating changed because of Sankey, people from other states, the media, or athletes threatening to sit out. It's just the right damn thing to do. PERIOD! I think the people that don't want to change it, will change their minds, once we get a new one, and they see all the positives that come from it. Not all of them, but a good portion of them. Our leaders need to get this done yesterday!

Anyone who is proud of our current flag has a loser’s mentality. You’re flying the flag of a treacherous rebellion that was quashed. And yes, I know that it’s not the official flag of the Confederacy but it’s become synonymous. Also, I have no idea how someone can support keeping our current flag AND be against kneeling during the national anthem. The hypocrisy is laughable.

I've always thought it was a shame that Mississippi chooses to fly that flag when there are so many good things to showcase about Mississippi. We (and the South in general) have the best food, literature, and music. But we choose to showcase the worst of our history.
