Considering Cam--according to this board--wasn't after scoring only 12 recently, I'd say... you're basing this off one game.

Hyatt is getting more open shots because opponents are concentrating on Cam and Cliff . Paul doesn't shoot and Caleb needs to make more shots.Bench scoring has been lacking for two years.Mag not playing is seven less points.Bottom line defense isn't as good and offense has been mediocre most of the B1G Ten schedule.
Unfortunately yes, scary because he's a career 28% 3 point shooter. Hopefully he has some sort of revelation like Japanese Steph Curry did
Well, when you think about it, he is our most dynamic scorer. But as others have correctly stated, we need Mulcahy to take a lot more shots. Obviously we need more contributions from Spencer as well. On the plus side, if Simpson can be as efficient as he was against Nebraska that would be a big plus.
Bottom line Rutgers has been unable to find new scorers to match the loss of 28 points from Baker and Harper.At the end of the season the Mag injury means an additional seven less points.Rutgers thus has to overcome 35 points and the only substantial additions is the fifteen points from Spencer and Simpson.
The only way the offense can match last season is by the starters scoring more points which hasn't happened..The onus is put on the defense to hold opponents to score in the 55-62 point range which was successful early in the B1G Ten schedule. As the league schedule nears the end the defense is getting worse and the offense is still mediocre.The highlight of the first half against Nebraska was when Rutgers had a 16-10 lead . The remainder of the game Nebraska took control which Rutgers was unable to overcome.
