Brought the family

Met new DL coach Tuioti for the first time, which was a priority, things went very well

Also hung out with players including Garret Nelson and Tate Wildeman

Family went fishing with SF, Chin, Held and Tuioti, everybody caught fish, had fun

Trips to Wisky and Oregon, then June decision

Most think NU the leader atm

Think Zach Duvall and the strength and conditioning program will sway him N in the end. Him and his dad are both big lifters. GBR

Not a whole lot of kids from Chaimberlain get opportunities to go D-1 so he’s definitely the king of the school. That’s gotta be a pretty cool feeling for the kid. Haven’t heard anything negative about him either.

Plus wouldn’t he be able to wrestle for a top 10 team at Neb
That, though, will be the end of his wrestling career, he says. He’s planning on focusing solely on football once he goes to college.

“Obviously I’m going to miss the sport of wrestling a lot, but my theory on it is if I really want to be a really good football player, I’m going to have to kind of dedicate to my time to that,” Hutmacher said.

Hutmacher already naturally weighs nearly 300 pounds and part of the difficulty would be continuing to put on good weight for football compared with the weight limitations in wrestling.

“That would be a challenge and then just the wear and tear that would be on your body if you tried to do both sports in college,” Hutmacher said.

Our staff has also made him feel like a top priority, which he really appreciates.

It’s so awesome to have a staff that just gets it. From top to bottom we have people here that just understand these kids within a 500 mile radius specifically. And future kids from around here are gonna continue to see this and work hard to put themselves in the same position. When I was in school (07-11) you knew you’d get offered from the South Dakota schools, Midland, Chadron, unk, and uno but NU was out of the question.

Over the weekend, Nebraska hosted its first spring official visitor. They started things off in a big way by hosting 4-star defensive tackle (HV Rating: 90.3) Nash Hutmacher‍ in Lincoln. The Chamberlain, South Dakota, native came down with his family. It was an important visit not just because Hutmacher is one of Nebraska’s top defensive targets for 2020 but he also has an official visit planned to Wisconsin this June.

Why is he only a 3 star? Is it because he’s from South Dakota or is he a project at football?
The fact of the matter is that some rating services don't even have someone assigned to certain states. I suspect that to be the case here and a default three star is assigned until someone takes a closer look. But whatever the case, this kid could be one of those three stars who plays like a five star in college. He's got a lot of physical ability.

I just have one question for the 18 year old man child.... Where did you go fishing?

If everyone caught fish it had to be a private pond! I have to travel 3 hours to fish a private pond that is loaded with bass.

Said 20 minutes south of Lincoln. Don't know what they caught or how big.

Can't think of the names right now off the top of my head, but there are a couple of small lakes just south of Lincoln by Hickman. You can put a small boat on those.

Likely Wagon Train or Stagecoach lakes. Maybe Bluestem, but that is more southwest of Lincoln.
