This team is far too Jekyll and Hide for me to predict what will happen Saturday. More often than not we come out flat from a bye-week and before we remember how to play football it’s too late.

42-Nebraska
38-Michigan State

Our defense is still abysmal against the run but DR shreds their secondary for 4 TDs.

Under Rhule, never.
Last time, (depends what you define as a “pulse”) I’d say was 2018 when Nebraska beat Minnesota 53-28. Minnesota went on to be 7-6 with a bowl W that season. Nebraska finished 4-8.
Man, I was at that game and I thought I had just personally witnessed the rebirth of a football giant. Looking back it's hard to believe that was a high point among dozens of new lows.

Huskers show out -

38 -24 Goooo Biiiig Reddddddddd!
Val's pizza and Runzas have been ordered and will be delivered to our spot by noon Saturday. The beer is ready for ice and the only thing left to do to a large bottle of Crown is break its seal. Chairs, pastries, snacks, water and drinks are either getting bought or already stacked up in the back of a truck owned by the prettiest girl to come out of South-Central Nebraska. Now all my group of friends need to do is to get to Star City for Saturday's game.
R 27- G 17 GBR!!!

I threw in a money line bet on Michigan State for emotional support in a loss. Pays well with the big point spread

I will take it. The last time I saw Michigan State play in Lincoln it was Nov. 17, 2018. It was windy, snowing and bitterly cold. It was a fun game despite the conditions. PK Pickerling made some great kicks that day. Defense played well. The Huskers won 9-6 and I really thought they were on their way out of the Darkness. I am sure I was thinking after the game that Scott was finally going to take over and get the team in a place where they could compete. Boy! was I wrong.

Sadly I think Rhule has bought into the old "Big Ten conference games are tough and come down to one position" BS...

Which probably means this game will be close instead of being 38-17.
TO always called the Big 8/Big 12 tough, every team we played was always tough. It's coach talk.

Wind is going to be an issue. Would be nice to feel confident in the NU run game, as I suspect MSU will be leaning on us all day long. Dylan will have an INT, we'll miss an FG.

I just can't not believe my eyes - we were a gift pick-6 and scoop and score away from a two score loss vs. Cincinnati. Then we played two stiffs. Followed by the patented "once score loss" to Michigan (the hail mary is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in that final 30-27 score). Multiple ugly, embarrassing long runs for TD's where no one even gets a finger on the RB. The "T" in OT yet against stands for turnstyle.

I'm sorry, I just can't believe it until I see it.
