Memphis is a good football team, so not a HUGE surprise they beat Ole Miss. With that being said, I like you're thinking because if Iowa is undefeated come Black Friday they will have locked up the West and have a shot at the B1G Title regardless. The rest will just be icing on the cake if more than that happens.

Under your scenario there is no way we can win the west so why would I hope for that? We need at least 1 Iowa loss prior to our game if we want a chance at the Western Conference Crown.
