Usually in the bottom half of the Top 10, or very close to it. A couple weight classes where we have to replace some solid contributors from prior year. A couple weight classes with solid contributors who have gotten off to a slow start. My perspective on the very early season so far is too much inconsistency yet and the entire team has not put it all together at the same time. An upset or 2, or losing by bonus points / pin make a big difference in a dual setting.
They were, and then got upset by Wisconsin ten days ago... Wrestled unintelligently in a couple of matches, and that knocked them from #8 to 12th.
The score was 24-24 but badgers won the tiebreaker because they had more pins than Nebraska.

Lost too many 50-50 matches against Wisconsin, primarily because Wisky got points at the end of a period. Put our Huskers in a position where they had to force things as they were behind on points, and that is never a good thing. (Also need work wrestling from the bottom).
FWIW, not a fan of the new stalling rules and emphasis on that.
Surprises good and bad this weekend, at one of the tougher tournaments of the young season. Most of the good surprises were in the upper weights..... Most of the bad surprises were in the lighter weights:

Thanks, Cloud. Team has a chance to score pretty high this year, if everyone comes together at the same time. Could see top 5, or maybe not even crack top 15. Thankfully there is a lot of the season left.
