After the Badger beat down it was mentioned that some Huskers were battling the flu. Hope all that has passed! When the line went up to 5.5 for Iowa it made.me wonder if Vegas knew something in that regard. Anyone heard a flu status for the team?

Rhule and I think Tony talked to it. Doesn’t sound like it will keep anyone out.

I heard Coach Cook mention they've had some flu in volleyball as well. I hope this is all last week's news and both teams are past that this week.

There is a LOT of crud going around in Lincoln. My doctor's office told me they've seen a big uptick in patients lately when I myself had to go in for some upper respiratory problems.

I’ve never gotten flu shot and I’ve never had the flu in my 35 years. My brother who is one year older then me gets the flu shot every year and he also gets the flu every year 🤷‍♂️
I never got the flu, till I did..then I get flu shots and haven't had the flu since..

I remember excus...talk of NU players having flu vs ut in 96...seems like with all the NU medical wizardry there should be some flu shots

I am confused… are flu shots not good? I know some people feel covid shots are too quickly produced nonsense, but flu shots too?

3 separate things. He was talking about influenza and Covid I assume.
Influenza A, Influenza B, flu shot has 2 inactivated A strains and 1 B . They are put together based on the prevalent strains in the southern hemisphere six months ago, Last year it had 2 of each. They are pretty effective most of the time, though there was an H3N2 prep that didn’t work that well, supposedly because the way it was made it did not produce a virus with the same exact structure that is produced by replication in people.
Of course the flu vaccine doesn’t help for all the other stuff that makes us sick like rhinovirus – the common cold, RSV, non-pandemic and pandemic coronavirus, adenovirus etc. So if you are a school teacher around kids bringing in all kinds of viral infections all year long, you may get sick from those even though you got the flu vaccine.

It's become political fodder. Consult with your doctor.

As for the Huskers, I heard that the flu kept Lloyd off the field and a couple kids played while still feeling sick. Can't remember who they were though.

Wright and Buford were mentioned in the PC.

There blending the Covid vaccine with the flu vaccine so lots of people are not getting vaccinated, when I read a article about them doing that I refused

We get sick in the winter because of vitamin D deficiency. Virus’s/ bacteria grow in warm not cold. Try taking care of yourself by eating somewhat healthy. Move around a little bit and supplement what your deficient in you. will surprised how little you get sick.

I don’t necessarily have an issue with it. But I don’t see the need for it. I’m not putting all these chemicals and unknown things in my body for the small chance it might actually fight off whatever variant arises that year if I’ve never had the flu before

Covid vaccine is not a vaccine, its 100% synthetic.
Bingo. I hate it when a perfectly good word in the English language is hijacked to mean something else like in Animal Farm. I'm not sure what the right word is for the Covid jab: "tonic", "elixir", "cocktail" (at the risk of co-opting another word), or some new word; but it is not a vaccine by definition (until the leading dictionaries decided to change the definition of "vaccine" in deference to their globalist masters).

It’s game day and people are debating to vaccinate or not to vaccinate.

Speaking for myself, I need to do something to take my mind off the game while I wait for it to start. An entertaining vax/no vax thread is as good as any other distraction.
