Rhule’s tenure will hinge on either retaining Raiola or doing what he said he’s going to do which is be a physical, downhill running team.

win against Wisconsin and Iowa and i'll consider it a success.

considering the context of our program, had you told me we'd beat Colorado, Wisconsin, and Iowa en route to a bowl game and getting rid of Satterfield for DH i'd be content.

i'm about 30% sure that will happen.

needs to do both.

anyone who believes we have to be a predominantly passing team because we have a 5* QB is a complete dipshit.

If Raiola leaves it's going to be a dark, dark winter for Nebraska football. I don't even think it hurts us on the field that much, but from a PR perspective I don't see how it could get much worse than that. If it happens, I hope it happens immediately after the season so we can look for the next Rourke.

If he retains Holgerson for next year he’s not going to run the ball. I say he has a chance at 8 wins if he fires several staff members and hits the portal hard if he goes that route. But if Raiola leaves he’ll have to scrap his entire philosophy and hire an actual run first OC with portal QB.

A lot of moving parts to this soap opera of a program.

I've already given up with counting on any player to be here from year to year going forward. The Transport Portal, NIL, other factors... I'm glad I'm not a college coach & have to manage all the what-ifs.

If we go 0-9 or 0-11 or whatever it is in trying to secure a bowl game that will not go over well. At all.

I honestly can't believe a legacy and the face of our program would say this.

First of all, he said fans have a lotta doubt, not logged out. Dumbasses. Nothing wrong with his PC. He spoke truth, confidence and rolling into next year. Listen to it before you post.

I pretty much said the exact same thing to myself. Beat Wisconsin and iowa, make a bowl, get rid of Satt… Considering everything that’s happened, that’s not too bad of a finish I guess. At the least it’s something to build on.

But, I’m not even 30% sure we can beat UW and iowa though…😕

Lighten up Francis, maybe you should quit your whining..
Thank you!!! Kong has his right to his opinion but the constant bitching reminds me of my sister in law and her husband it’s draining, I’m just about ready to either put him on ignore or just step away from the form since just about every post he injects his venom

I don't think that bit from his PC is that bad..

it shows that he knows that Husker fans are upset, but he's thinking in positive terms, (even if his body language isn't)

He sees a way forward and mapped it out for everyone.. that is if he sticks around.

It's hard to say what will happen because like someone else said, there are a lot of moving parts to this deal.

Does DH stick around? I'm thinking if he does, it will help keep DR here. If he doesn't and we get some other nobody to do OC, then DR won't be around. Who knows how it all shapes up. Would like to see them get this monkey off their back, but that monkey so far has been Rhule's doing. That clown has to get serious about the program. Not just give it and the fans lip service. I guess that is what preachers do.. lip service and pass around a collection plate. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

Why the hate for preachers? Seriously. The vast majority of preachers believe what they teach and do much more than lip service. That’s a ridiculous statement for you to make, to be honest.

as with any position contingent on unwavering public trust, one bad apple tends to ruin the bunch.

I thought his comments were just fine. He spoke calmly and did not engage in any false bravado. Looking forward to beating Wisconsin. I am hopeful we can do it. Do I think we will win? Given where we are right now, probably not. But it is a winnable game and it is huge. Most important game of our season.

Headline:

“19 year old says something and doesn’t understand the impact it would have on a million fans”

Yawn.

Also 1/3 of forum says we won’t win another game and we will get the doors blown off the last two games … same 1/3 of forum now mad that our QB says some fans may be logged out. 🤣

It was a continuation of his statement that he thinks we will play well rolling into the next two game and the bowl game... and then next season is a new year.

what a shame

For sure most starting Freshman QBs would be having a lot more fun. He had high expectations of himself and the team and they just have not materialized. If he sticks with it and keeps grinding the next few years he will greatly benefit from the adversity. I just hope we get to enjoy the ramp back up with him in a Husker jersey.

Hope he regains some confidence over these next two weeks with a new play caller. The lack of confidence has never been more obvious than his check to a WR pick play that was wide open on the backside and he didn't trust it. Early in the year he just rips that toss the second the DBs go with the slant.

At least some of the team hasn't checked out.....Rhule said Ty Robinson got into a fist fight with a couple of scout team offensive linemen. When Nebraska was at it's best there were guys like Calvin beating Christian Peter in a fist fight. Seems like we need more of that, but it's a tough balance.....too many scraps within the team and it shows a cancer.

Rhule could save the season if he won the last two games. 7-5 would give us a winning record and a bowl game. And then we don't have to listen to the media talk all offseason about how Rhule blew it once again by going 5-7. It would get the bowl game and losing record streaks off our back as well. I'm down to my last shreds of hope because if we do lose both in the usual embarrasing fashion then I will have no interest in next year even if it's supposed to be the "magical third year" under Rhule.

But if he leaves, we will have those -- God bless the delusional believers -- who tell us that it's a net positive and this coming year will be different.

After over 20 years of such talk and delusional optimism, I don't believe.

Show me.

I don’t get how you can get all the negative vibes based on what he said. “a lotta doubt..a lotta uncertainty”
And then what he says about next year sounds like he’s going to be here.

Seriously, you guys need to drink a lot more or a lot less

Get the Cougar quarterback. He's a fighter. I am betting he is not making that much money at WSU.

He gone. It will be bleak for sure. In years past we at least had offseason titles to look forward to with rounds of kool aid. Not this year.

Not what he said and you know it. I think he is over rated. Been a big part of the woes in the losing streak. But intentionally misquoting him to further a narrative. I will from now on refer to you as CNN.

Personally, I don't think DR is overrated. I think that teams have figured that our WRs can't handle man-to-man coverage and DR is forced to throw balls into tight coverage. How many times have our recievers had the ball taken out of their hands for an interception? DR is a 5* QB and will live up to the hype with DH's help, better WR routes and a quicker release. I would love us to go to a Bowl game. I hope DR and DH are both here next year.

I agree, I don’t think he’s overrated at all. If anything he looks better than advertised to me.

We don’t even try to help him.

The best QBs in history couldn’t win 1-on-11.
