Hope he is able to live up to all the pre-season hype. Fortunately I think he has the right attitude and mindset that won't let the hype or press affect him.
Too late , AM already had his injury.Taylor Martinez was a better quarter back pre injury

And you gotta throw RB in there too. We've got to have options besides QB. We're going to be serviceable with what we have, but having Maurice this fall will be a game changer. The less rushing attempts AM has the better/healthier he'll be.Adrian will handle his business, but his success will be very much dependent on OL and WR play. I wouldn’t be very concerned about WR if it weren’t for the coaches giving impression they’ve underperformed.
Coaches haven’t really let as much concern show about OL, but with those two interior spots, most on this board see that as potentially negatively impacting Martinez’ ability to put up Heisman numbers.
What’s the point of being a mobile quarter back if you dont run the damn ball ?And you gotta throw RB in there too. We've got to have options besides QB. Not my point. IF you QB is the biggest threat you focus on him. Chances of injury go up. IF you have more than one good RB, harder on defenses and less chance of I jury. Carries go down but yardage might actually go up.What’s the point of being a mobile quarter back if you dont run the damn ball ?

His throwing motion has never changed pal. That clip is post injury pal
remember when he got the guru thoHis throwing motion has never changed pal.
Definitely true and definitely a possibility. I have a feeling we aren’t hearing much about it because we do have some talent on the online and there is a number of guys that could/should be able to step up and feel that gap. Last year a lot of them where still young and learning. This year they now have a chance to step it up and win their spot. We have the talent and potential there, hopefully Austin can bring them along.
Plus side is, our QB isn’t a statue QB. If there’s pressure, he’s every bit as dangerous with his legs or throwing on the run. That will help a ton with some learning curves or trail and error on a few guys at guard spot.
Agreed. His mobility will make OL play more forgiving, but we also need the push in the middle as a serviceable option.
I remember Tommy Armstrong not getting sacked much, but he was a master of avoiding sacks at times...cue the next year with Tanner Lee and it was open feast for opponents.
OL is critical for real success regardless.
