This might be the proverbial "Tyson Bass" post from last year. LOL. Hull hit .367 last year. This year he doesn't look comfortable at all. What is going on?
I’ve seen kids like Mac Horvath struggle mightily in the first part of a season only to go on a massive heater right after that.

Baseball is a hard game and it’s especially hard when you are moving up a level in competition like Hull is.

Gallaher is in a bad slump right now too and we all know what he can do.

I still have faith that the hits will come for Hull.

I agree he looks more than lost at the plate right not when he is not walking. But hopefully and have trust he can get it going

See gallaher last year and Horvath couple of years a ago

I think it is way too early to paint him as a failure, and he doesn't look lost or over powered at the plate, just not impacting the ball right now. I mentioned on another thread I expect a 2023 Casey Cook style season from him as he adjusts to the higher quality pitching at this level, backside heavy approach. If he can get on base, hoping the SBs show up, which was probably his biggest standout trait from last years statistics.

I am concerned about taking him from a lower level (even though it was D1). I watched about 25 A10 or Colonial Conference games last year, once you got past the first 3 to 4 arms, there was some really bad pitching (83-85 guys, couldn't hold runners, didn't throw a lot of strikes). So hoping his stats didn't get inflated against really bad competition. They put up a 23 running inning last year against Holly Cross, NCAA record.

I think he’s going to be alright. Right now it looks to me like he’s a little bit late getting the barrel of his bat through the strike zone on pitches on the outer half, resulting in a lot of soft fly balls to left field, and rolling over stuff that’s middle-in. We’ve seen a lot of our lefty hitters go through similar stretches…Angelo started off similarly last year and Stokely had some stretches although he adjusted more quickly later in his career. I haven’t seen anything with Hull that doesn’t look fixable.

I agree, he’s just not getting the bat head around great right now.
