Just because people make a lot of money doing something doesn't make that thing they do not garbage.
I can personally enjoy sports talk in small doses. The worlds of political talk and shock radio are cesspools. I don't care who makes what amount of money doing it.
Thank you for sharing with us what talk radio is not. Let me try negating the premises too. Just because somebody doesn't like something doesn't mean that they are not levels of quality in the field. I don't like eating sushi, but that doesn't that there's no such thing as "good sushi" or that all sushi restaurants are garbage or cesspools.
Outside of pro bono legal work and fire fighters, few people serve the public for free. Revenue isn't necessarily connected to quality, but revenue is directly tied to customer demand and is a good indicator that people value the service.
