How the hell is the over/under 145.5?

That number 145 seems absurd knowing Rutgers rarely scores more than 65 points.

Yeah, no idea how the over could be that high.

In conference, we're averaging 57.4 ppg.... and Iowa is averaging 74.8 ppg.... add those together, and you get 132.2.... if we both hit our averages.

But Rutgers held Iowa to 68 last time out at their place, and Jok will either be absent or less than 100% tonight.... the guy who led their team with 18 in our first game.

Maybe they're expecting us to suddenly have an offensive explosion, since Iowa is last in the Big Ten in defense for conference games (80.7 ppg allowed) and hasn't won a road game so far this year (and has allowed 87.8 ppg in road games).

Iowa does not play alot of defense, they do like to score and play uptempo. I expect this game to be in the 60s but not surprised if it makes its way into the 70s, This isnt the kind of game I expect a lot of tough half court defense to be played against RU so it should be more uptempo of a pace than we usually see

Just for comparison, the last time we've seen a combined score of 145.5 or higher was 1/4 at Michigan State (158) in our worst defensive outing of the season... prior to that was 12/15 against FDU (151). We also managed it 11/25 vs Hartford (152), and 11/13 vs. Drexel (166).

So, 4 total games out of 22, and three were against teams with a Sagarin rating of 240+.

Vegas is always right. They had the line RU vs. Wisconsin as Wisc -7. People initially said that's crazy, how could they not predict a Wisconsin blowout. Then it looked like we were gonna win the game by 10. In the end it went to OT and Wisconsin won by 7.

Iowa takes a LOT of quick shots....and RU fouls a lot.....there could be lots of FT attempts....and 139.5 seems more realistic than 145....Jok not playing is probably worth that dip in the scoring total....I would not expect more than 135 in regulation....RU 70-Iowa 65....

Totals (unders) are sickening to play with the shitfest foulfest in the last few minutes when some coaches refuse to concede.

Betting basketball is not for the faint of heart. It's astonishing how often the spread is not decided until the final shot is taken.

That O/U looks pretty accurate at the half...
Bump just because I'm too pissed off to follow the game thread. I am almost too pissed off to watch the game, but have the volume off so my ears aren't assaulted. We are getting fvcking throttled by a team of freshman.
