The only advantage to firing Monty now is to promote Gillespie to interim coach To give him an audition. but that would then leave us without an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator. Better thing would be what LSU did and make an announcement that a change will come at the end of the season. But since his contract hasn't been renewed past this season I think we all know a change is coming. Just hope they make the right hire.

With the aforementioned disadvantages Gillespie would have, it probably wouldn't be much a tryout. Need an OC for that to work.
