It's interesting though. I wonder if Bern had caught this momentum earlier in the campaign if the delegate count would be different.

WVa? After all, she won it -and by a wide margin- in 2008.
She lost but got the same amount of delegates as Bernie - he got 16 delegates and one super delegate...she got 11 delegates and 6 super delegates. What fvcking joke of a system.

You must not live anywhere near the state. Hillary made negative remarks about the coal industry, that pretty much did it.

No, only if she were to be indicted would things change and that's not going to happen as long as Lynch is a good democrat, which she is.

Your math is off. There are 29 delegates and 8 super delegates (on the Democratic side). The super delegates are only "pledged" at this point. They don't become final until the convention.
Of the 29 delegates, Bernie got 16 to Hillary's 13, which is prorated based on the vote count, as it is in every state with the Democrats. The Republicans have some winner take all states.

The joke of a system on the Democratic side is super delegates making their pledge before the actual primary. Two of those 6 pledged super delegates for Hillary include Manchin and Earl Ray.

That's what was reported either on the radio or tv this morning

Suppose Sanders won the Presidency instead of Hillary. Do people in WV really think the coal industry would fare better under him than under Hillary? if you searched their rhetoric I bet Sanders has been way more on the climate change train than Hillary.

Exit polls would suggest she will not do quiet so well in the General election. She lost every county in the primary. Will have to wait and see General results that end up worse than losing every county.

You make a very good point and it really points out the "strangeness" of WV voting. People are supposedly protesting Hillary because of her statement (taken out of context or not) on coal but are voting for Bernie. Exit polls also asked Democratic voters if Hillary got the nomination, would they vote for her. 43% said no. Looking at the total numbers, Bernie could beat Trump in WV but Trump will beat Hillary in WV.

It wouldn't surprise me if Hillary never set foot in WV again, or at least central and southern WV. She's hated there. She has no chance of winning WV so there's no reason to campaign there. Even if she became POTUS and started a program to re-train workers there, if she showed up personally to launch the program she'd get booed. So what's the point of her going there?

Retrain for something in particular, or just a general overall retraining? Do even you know what you are talking about?

You may want to look at that again. That was a "closed" election. Half of the Dems who voted for Bernie said they would vote Trump in General. Bernie and Hillary combined would lose to Trump (or others) IN WV.

I'm talking about that quote of Hillary's where they took "put coal companies out of business" out of context, where the larger meaning was she said we need to re-train the coal miners that are going to lose their jobs. I'm saying that even if Hillary became POTUS and made a program to re-train such workers and vindicated her remarks she still couldn't go to WV to launch the program without getting booed.

She was not taken out of context.......if your watched her when she said it, you would also have noticed her tone and body language. She was playing to a certain crowd and it came back to bite her in the ***. She and her handlers can spin the "out of context" ******** all they want...in the end it is still what it is......******** !

that quote of Hillary's where they took "put coal companies out of business" out of context,
You are attempting to misquote what she said in her original. There was nothing taken out of contest of her original statement. You are relying on some faulty information in your assumption. Look at her original statement in it's entirety. She totally said she would put miners and operators out of business "in favor of non carbon industries right in coal producing areas.

There was nothing taken out of context of her statement in entirety.

Half of the dems that voted fro Bernie are NOT going to vote for Trump. You're an idiot! Bernie and Hillary combined received more votes than Trump. Again, you're an idiot!

You are too stupid to look at what the actual polls were. The ***** lost every county in a closed election. That is a 180 from what she received the last time in WV. She didn't carry a county. Half of the dems who voted for Bernie said the would vote for Trump in the General. Dem candidate is going to lose WV big-time in General. Will you ever get you nose out of her wrinkled ***? She loses WV, but if you are stupid enough to dream the voting public will vote for her crooked ***, I will not burst your bubble again. Pathetic.

My friend, the voting people of WV have listened and judged. The fellow who was sitting at the table with her listened and questioned her. He did not believe her political double talk and asked her about it. She knew she was not going to sway him and gave up. Now come her supporters who are going to restate what she gave up on and attempt to reframe it again. Sorry, it didn't happen there and it ain't a gonna happen here. Her quote is going to remove her in the General from the State of WV. Move on.

Half of the dems who voted for Bernie said they would vote for Trump in the General. - No they didn't. If Hillary is the nominee, the poll showed 43% of democratic voters, as I stated earlier in this thread, would either not vote (23%) or vote for Trump (20%). If Bernie is the nominee, Bernie voters will vote for Bernie. Maybe one of your Republican friends can explain it to you. I'm right. Which means, Trump will beat Hillary, Bernie would beat Trump and Trump certainly can't beat Bernie and Hillary combined. Here's another link to show you the numbers.

Evasion noted.

I read her differently. She attempted to frame it in the context of caring for the people that lost and will lose their jobs. She may be sincere about that.......but make no mistake.......she intends to put coal miners and coal companies out of business. The difference is that you are a Hillary supporter and I am anti Hillary.

Hillary had no chance in WV in the general election. She was just trying to win the primary because the soon she can be rid of Sanders the sooner she can focus on Trump.

And whether people believe her is another story. People can disbelieve her if they want and it's always good to be skeptical of politicians But people were just jumping on her statement about putting coal miners and coal companies out of work as if that was the entire meaning of what she said. It wasn't.

I'm not a Hillary supporter. I'm just realistic. She did attempt to frame it in the context of caring about people and that may be BS, but she said it rather than just saying she'll put the miners and companies out of work. I bet most of the people in WV that voted against her have no idea of the context in which she said it. Opponents take the one line out of context and shout it from the rooftops. It's politics.

I got the context, her body language and tone came across as almost bragging about it and then like, it's ok though, we're gonna break it but we're gonna fix it. Her lack of personality fvcked her on that one.

Hillary won WV in 2008 because she wasn't a Black man, plain and simple. How dense are some of you boys?
100% correct.......But we both should at least give the WV Dems some credit this time for being more open minded.....They did pick a person of Jewish background.

That re-training program was already brought to WV by Manchin and as director of the program I am sure Gayle Manchin will do all she can to help WVians.
