How do you think EJ will be let go next week?

Outright firing, resignation with the guaranteed money to save face, or "promoted" to the athletic department to really help him save face?

Outright firing if he doesnt voluntarily resign. The choice is up to Eddie.

Im hoping that Hobbs is already working on his short list with feedback from agents of prospective coaches.

He has a contract. He gets 70% of his salary If he's fired. That's what will happen

This is Rutgers, don't count on Eddie being let go.
With the way the program looks under him other schools would let him resign ( negotiate a resignation package ) or just terminate him and pay the buyout: but this is Rutgers and anything might happen.
Including Hobbs saying beating Minnie proves Jordan can win and he's getting one more year to prove it to the RU MBB fanbase.

Beating another awful team that could only suit up 5 scholarship players and 2 walk ons, with their best player having a really off night, is not going to fool anyone into thinking we are about to turn the corner. Hurts me to say it, but EJ has to go.

Doubt this.
I truly believe we finally have a real AD now. Therefore, Eddie is gone. There would have been some sign that he would be retained by now.

I'm quite sure Hobbs has been doing his homework for months now. As of today, it looks like there will not be many schools out there to beat for candidates. Illinois is standing pat and I don't think the UNLV job is that attractive. It's not like waiting another year means we'll have better candidates next year. The time for change is now. Would love Eddie to be part of the administration, but I don't see that happening at this time.

Funny how these facts don't matter when we were the losing team. we will turn the corner when a new basketball facility is done.

Perhaps the other 13 schools will kick in for his salary.

Negotiations underway with the Housewives of Potomac to have it shown first there in return for HoP eating part of EJ's salary/alimony.

Firing Jordan doesn't upgrade Rutgers facilities to Big Ten caliber.

There's no excuse for the product that Rutgers put out on the floor this season.
It's time to hire a coach who can inject some life into this program.

I usually agree with your POV, but I believe that you are seriously underestimating Hobbs here as our AD. His hands are not bound like our previous AD's were. Barchi has empowered Hobbs to make the decisions for the Athletic Dept. That's why Eddie is a dead man walking as RU BB coach. And Hobbs has experience with this type of hire and is an established fund raiser to make it happen.

Eddie's remaining career as RU HC is now a one game season IMO.

Barring of course a run through the Big Ten tourney and on to the Big Dance.
