How do we continue a senior tradition?

Tomorrow is a huge game for seeding and getting ready for the tournaments. We will have to play our very best to even have a chance. Yet, there is a senior tradition to put our seniors in the starting lineup. How do we handle the senior walk ons? Do we still start them?

Let the walk ons cook before jelly comes in and goes 10-10 from three.

Horn and Tow? I’m of a mind to start them and call a timeout the second Florida gets a lead.

As far as Oweh and Aberdeen we’re probably okay letting them play for a while.

In my opinion, it's a bad "tradition." It seems kind of like pandering. Recognize the seniors with special aspects or events before and/or after the game. Play the game the way you should play every game - do everything you can to win.

Why start now?

If you wanna win, Walker Horn needs to start and Zack Tow needs to finish. We’ve never lost a game they’ve played in. Golden probably doesn’t even have a scouting report on these two studs. Gotta play em — it’s winning time!
You are wrong. I have it on good authority that Golden has prepared a box and one for Horn. He might have overlooked Tow though.

You put them in the lineup. Kids that finish as Seniors from UK deserve to start their last home game

All the senior day traditions seem outdated and out of place in today’s era.

They were originally meant to commemorate student athletes who’s invested 4 or 5 years of their life into the school …not these roving free agent mercenaries that typify today’s CBB players.

I don’t see much need for continuing the charade. The old version of CBB is dead, so some of its outdated traditions might as well go with it.

Well I don’t know if you can call Tow and Horn mercenaries. Especially Horn.. hasn’t he been with the program since a freshman? I understand the game has changed and it’s all about money, but the traditions are what separates NFL/NBA from college athletics. I feel we got to hold onto some of the old traditions in this changing landscape; otherwise college athletics will be forever lost.

Start any senior. It’s just the right thing to do.
All Seniors should start and play a minimum of a few minutes. It’s the least the program should do for them, and if UK is worried about a fast start or whatever, it should have been thinking about that WAY before Senior Day. That’s the bottom line.

They can be in for a single possession. Timeout after we turn it over and Florida scores. Pope takes a lot of TOs with him, so it shouldn't be an issue.
