How did offense look?

I had a funeral this afternoon and didn’t get to see anything except the final drive.

I’m a bit surprised not to see anything about the offense. How did the DH offense look?

I get people are pissed off. I am too. But still… how did things look for the offense? Stats don’t look too terrible… was DH noticeably better?

O line blocked decent. Zero separation by receivers. Raiola looked like he already wants to play for Oklahoma next year

Outcome aside, DH is a HUGE improvement over Satt.
Whatever the hell he wants from us to stay on as OC, we give it to him.

Also, we can ***** all we want, and I can’t stand excuses, but we were two mis-timed DB jumps from a possible win.
Although I have come to despise the 3-3-5

College quarterbacks are easy to rattle and we can’t find a way to put them under any pressure. They just sit back and wait for a guy to get open.

Was it a called play or a third read? If called play, I don’t understand why every OC we have thinks that’s gonna work.
Fidone caught the ball, had 5 yards in front of him, and managed to move slower than Timmay on South Park in a wheel chair.

More creativity, more misdirection, and quick passes. The QB, as usual, missed wide open receivers and held the ball too much. The running game looked decent. There was more continuity with play calling.

Given a better QB, the offense can score more than 13 points.

0 separation from WR’s thus Raiola attempted 1 pass thrown over 20 yards the entire game, and it was picked

Looks like DH got DR to read short to long and hit the open guy. Ball came out quicker and wasn’t going thru as many progressions imo

I feel better about it and think DH will only get better over the next few weeks. I’m a lot more optimistic about a bowl game now than I was with Satterfield. Still some work to do though

OK. We seemed to have a better idea of what we wanted to do and DR was getting the ball out pretty quick. But we only scored 13 offensive points. Of course we had the perfect call on one and DR wouldn’t pull the trigger,so we had to kick an FG and Banks was interfered with on another, which led to another FG

OL played better than they have since first 1/3 of the season. Running game was more productive. Seems like passing game was similar.

Offense looked better

So glad our head coach finally made a move to improve it

Perhaps next week he will hire a When To Call A Motherf*cking Timeout Coordinator

Fidone has excellent hands but has no business catching the ball within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

The only way we easily move the ball all year long has been the 2 minute offense and I’m not quite sure why we don’t just run it all the time. We always get down the field when we do that.

If the offense (QB) wasn't so offensive, the defense wouldn't give up so many yds. The defense did more than enough to win this game. Put the loss SOLEY on DR
I guess I didn’t expect our offense to instantaneously be world beaters under Holgorsen. Did we look better than we did under Satt? And if so, will we continue to improve? That’s what I was asking.

Also some semblance of a two minute drill at the end. But the offense scored only 10. One FG was off a turnover inside the 20.

Yes it was better. Better flow. It was more fluid. Raiola got the ball out of his hand quick typically. No really stupid play calls like usual. It wasn’t worlds better as expected in 1 week under a new coordinator but definitely better

Better... But would benefit from less personnel changes and maybe more hurry up tempo. DR still throws too many lob passes and needs to learn to have some zing on there or get lost...

Yesssir, every effing ball can't be a touch pass, sometimes you gotta drill it in there.

I thought DR got rid of the ball a little more quickly in this game. Someone, I'm assuming OCDH, drilled into his head he can't be holding the ball back there for 5-6 seconds on every pass.

Someone posted on the game thread, "Has DR thrown any passes that HH can't throw?" and I think that answer is no. By the 4th Qtr I felt HH should have been put in. I think he sees the field a little better than DR and he gives us a another legitimate rush option.

Rhule's game management is really starting to concern me. Maybe the addition of OCDH recently contributed to that confusion today but wow... I could do a better job and believe me, none of you would want that.
