Ben Simmons win rookie of the year in his "2nd" season? I get he was injured in his first season. Well, sorry that happened, but he is getting paid on a 2nd year of his contract.

If Donovan continues his rookie season the way he is, its kind of silly to be mentioning the award should go to a guy who isn't a "rookie"

I think Blake Griffin won it in what was technically his second year due to injury. Mitchell is having a great season so far putting up 18/3/3. Even though we knew what he was capable of I bet most believe he is the surprise of the class. Simmons is averaging 17/8/9. That's pretty tough to beat.

I didn't realize Simmons is playing PG. He's avergaing 18 pts, 9 rebs, 8 asts per game. He's 6'10. That's impressive. ROY impressive. But, from what I've noticed, he doesn't get the highlights DM gets. Seems like every game Donovan is doing something that wows everyone. He's had some big scoring games, too. It's way early, but I'd say DM and Simmons are neck and neck for ROY, Simmons being the steady player, while DM brings the "did you see that" factor.
