Ok, so I believe we have finally settled on what type of house we are going with. I have included a photo of the style below.
However, we have decided to go with a full walkout basement (eventually finished with bedrooms and bathroom and TV room). We will have our laundry room down there from the start though. The photo below will give you an idea of how it will be sloped (from back to front; walkout will be in front of the house).
My question is about plumbing the basement. Since the slope is back to front, and our sewer will be at the bottom of the hill at the road, will I need an ejector sewage pump and pit or will I have enough room to slope the pipes (under the slab) to get it to the main sewer line headed out of the house? I've read where some say putting this system in to a front walkout basement is a waste of money as well as putting in a sump pump (as long as it is well drained in the backyard and gutters flowing away from the house).
Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.
