Frustrating to say the least. I wish Funk didn't have to throw 8 innings against Temple. Would have been nice to have him even with 4 days rest and either use Harrington or Rodgers against a sub .500 Bearcat team this weekend. I know winning the conference is the most important thing but since we don't control our own destiny in the AAC, a late season win over the #4 RPI team would have been huge even with 40+ wins.

That sucked but I have to say I was impressed with that ballistic missile that IU hitter launched to seal our fate in the top of the ninth. If I am not mistaken it cleared that giant *** fence dead center at the 402' mark. That had to be a record for a homer at JP Stadium. Too bad it wasn't one of our guys who hit it.

I didn't see it so I cant argue one way or the other but I know I watched Chris Dom hit some shots outta that place. I remember standing on the patio deck out on the berm and watchin one fly way over my head like he was swingin from 2nd base. Gotta give the IU dude cred though. Dom swung those hot bats where now days they have to swing the BBCor. If he hit it like you say then that was definitely one helluva shot.

Yea, didn't see the shot, but heard about it. The bats use to have a lot more pop than they have now with the one that Schwabber hit. Don't know what kind of bat Dom hit his shot with.

If I remember right, the whole team used the red Louisville ExoGrid which I think was first edition that season and very hot.
