I think the defense suspects President will be keeping the football.
The president package is no longer a surprise. Quit doing it unless he can also throw it. Defenses know he will run only.
I've seen enough of President and that package.

Agree 100% Shock the world and have President toss a pass once out of 5 times or something... It's destined to fail when the defense brings down the safeties and stacks the box.
Sweet Jesus our defense SUCKS!!!!!!!!! They make every damn opponent have a "career day" on offense. Bunch of shmucks out there
SMU is horrendous on defense, both against the pass and run. Yet Tulsa made them look like world beaters in that first quarter. Yikes.
Dane made some very good 2nd and 3rd reads on that first drive. We need to be a pass first offense the rest of the season if we want any chance at a bowl.
How dare you our defense is special ! Special Ed. They would make a fine intermural team.
It's almost as if each week they come out and and play beneath their expected potential. They play JUST poor enough to lose. They've become experts at losing and keeping it close. Now that could ALSO mean that we're just inches away from winning most of these games. I'm really hoping that next season or 2, Coach Monty gets the pieces he needs to put games like this out of reach EARLY.
Very glade we made a TD on that one. Didn't want to see a melt down on play calling. Keep thinking we a setting up a play by all the runs on the goal line.
