How many staffs in this league can Frost out coach? Maybe 2 or 3.

We can't play Rutgers, Maryland, and the worst team in the west every season. The penalties are stupid. How simple is your offense if the WR don't know the plays?

As of today I’d say it’s between him and Schiano for last place. On an even playing field I’d say Schiano wins. So I’m afraid we have the worst coach in the league. I’m not sure if I’m more sad or disgusted by it.

Totally legit comments. I look at Indiana and they look 10x better coached. Maybe SF is a better coach than Love and a couple others.

Maryland would destroy Nebraska this season
Right after our game ended, I saw Maryland throw a dart short crossing pattern completion to a WR running full speed that went 50 yds for TD against PSU. We can’t do that. We only hit stopped targets at about 50% and go nowhere.
So yes, I agree.

I saw that. I mean why is it that their 5’8 150 lb receivers are catching deep balls and taking them to the house while we don’t dare to throw 10 yards deep.

it can’t all go to Frost. It’s the Jimmy and the Joes. People are delusional with our talent. 5.6 3* or below don’t cut it. That’s 60% of this roster. And it’s not going to change. We are Minn, Iowa, Rutgers, North Western. Anyone can win on any given Saturday. It’s who has the few difference makers that year. Then it resets. We aren’t ever going to sniff the OSU’s or even top 10 classes. That’s what it takes. Even us ranked at 15 is laughable. It’s 7 or 8 4* or 5* delta. It’s not even close.

Yea but we don’t beat those teams with equal or lesser talent.

It's crazy but UCF used to do that like crazy. He definitely hasn't replicated that offense here.

I started noticing last year, and it’s continued. We rarely if ever even attempt to throw a WR open or hit a moving target. That’s some basic football acumen severely lacking, whether you point to WR, QB, scheme, etc.

It seems to me, that in today’s football climate, if you can’t score in the upper 30s to low 40s every game, your offense pretty much sucks. Your QB has to be able to throw downfield and he and your wide receivers have to be able to read a defense and run the right route.

His offense if executed is a thing of beauty. The defense is constantly on its heels, because it has the ability to adjust to what the defense is showing it, it creates a ton of confusion.

But at Nebraska, we just have not been able to recreate it. Some of it is talent which is being upgraded and still relatively young. But a lot of it is coaching, because the mental errors fall on the coaches.

Everyone runs the same stuff, there are no secrets. It comes down to execution, which we do not do well. So quit with the "scheme" being the end all, it is not.
