WTF are we doing here?

And none of our fall sports reached the post-season, including womens soccer, which has been arguably the strongest program at RU over the past decade. I think mens soccer and maybe FH finished at least .500 overall, and not in B1G.

We need to s**t or get off the pot.

Both programs are downright embaressing. Maybe just shut them down and give all the NIL to wrestling. We could have a top 10 wrestling program.

From the day Rutgers joined the B1G Ten it has been a uphill climb for even a small level of respect.Hobes as Athletic Director showed he wasn't up to the challenge.in fundraising and hiring head coaches.Poor recruiting ,facilities needing upgraders ,lack of NIL funding and the transfer potrtal are some of the obstacles Rutgers has faced.Rutgers now has a new University President and Athletic Directo responsible for correcting all the past mistakes. The addition of the four west coast teams makes the challenge even more difficult.

Agree, but it seems that even programs who had been doing well recently have taken steps backwards. W. Soccer, Lacrosse, Field Hockey had a run of decent success. All three are heading the wrong way. Hopefully Zinn can change this.

As soon as this became an official $ game with NIL we were going to lose and lose big. No surprise here.
This.

and it’s chicken and the egg because the community by and large seems to take the stance that they don’t see a reason to give a penny until there’s hope and some success but it seems like that’s unlikely without support and finances being in order

seems like a big problem

Sorry for being off-topic but are you related to Mike H class of 1980? I had many good times with him.

Rutgers finished in the bottom half of the B1G standings in six of seven sports Rutgers contested in fall 2025 - football, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball.

Field hockey finished 4-4 during the regular season and 4-5 after a first round B1G tournament loss.

Keli faces a difficult task as she inherited an athletic department in which nearly every sport, if not each one of them, is in a downward performance trend or, like gymnastics and volleyball, stuck at the bottom.

Which Rutgers sport has meaningful positive momentum?
