Some players you’re rarely pleased with, others you’re almost always pleased with. But who is it that most goes up and down the scales for you?

For me, it’s Myles. Game to game—even varying within game stretches: goes from awesome to blah.

If pressed I would say the most inconsistent team member is Pikiell. STOP. That is not an anti-Pikiell comment. He is a big net positive on the program and yes that is obvious.

I would not put Myles in the inconsistent category. Bigs don’t have a enough control to dictate performance generally and that’s definitely the case for our team.

Mathis and Geo most inconsistent. I would say McConnell is most consistent (not necessarily in a good way). Followed by Paul (in a good way).

I disagree on Myles. His consistency, IMO, is a function of the refs. If they let him play he is quite consistent. But his play is a function of officiating. The inconsistency of this team, though, does get spread around. Mathis has been really good and really bad, Geo sometimes disappears and then takes a game over. RHJ’s problems have been well documented. But the one that drives me crazy is JY. His inconsistency isn’t from game to game but play to play. He gets out of control and turns it over or takes almost ridiculous shots and then he makes a great steal, a marvelously athletic shot or assist all within 5 minutes of play. But RU is a 500 team in conference because of that lack of consistency team wide. When we show up to play we can beat anyone in the country but when we don’t, we’ll, it gets ugly.
