Pick up your check while you're going out the door! Wonder if he even wants to coach anymore, what a disaster game for the Pokes today. He's been a great coach for OSU with a 169-89 record, just seems like this season has gone the way of his edge for the game.

Remember when he wore an OAN t-shirt and had to take a pay cut and give up a year on his contract? The height of the Pussification of America.

Dana needs a break from a Head coach gig.he is making 2.4 regardless because of the buyout. He turned Rhule down in January because he was tired . Then took the analyst job at TCU . But it was on D he got bored . When Rhule called a 2nd time he jumped and checked it out. Turned out it’s exactly what he needed as well as US .

I am aware of all of this but thanks.

Others have also mentioned that there “could” be jobs that open up that might be attractive to him if contacted. I am not predicting that he would leave let alone be interested in the job.

If the job isn’t open he can’t be approached. Winking

They went 10-4 last year and had a 12 win season a couple years before that. Unless he’s truly lost his edge it’s a big mistake to fire him.

It will be interesting. But he did pop off about the fans and I think the way he handled the Players aDUI and comments he made about that didn’t win him any supporters. Then you follow it up with a winless conference record in a not great conference.

OK State won 10 games last year and paid a big chunk of NIL to bring back a large number of last year's starters to use their Covid year instead of moving on. I have been told that essentially those guys took the money and are quite enjoying their last year. Instead of getting a group of guys highly motivated to reach even higher success than last year, they appear to have wound up with a group of guys who are apparently collecting their checks and playing out the string. No school work, no need to go get a "real" job to support themselves. No motivation to bust their asses. Just have fun for one more year before heading out to the real world. Essentially a gap year, but one where you make a comfortable living for a few hours work each day. It has shown up in the results. I doubt Mike gets fired and I expect there will be a bounce back next year.
