From a strictly financial standpoint we could use the extra $20 - $30 mil. a year. But will that money help us gain any ground when the 2 teams we are proposing to add are already way the hell ahead of us in resources and finance? Seems to me like we'd still be trying to play 'catch up' to teams already a lap ahead of us in this race.
I haven't seen anyone mention recruiting. How much harder will it be for us to keep prize recruits in state with these two heavy weights start throwing the big bucks, they already have, around our recruits?
What if Tex. & OK go to another conference? So what. Then that conference will have the dubious honor of trying to have someone come through their schedule intact enough to get into the CFP. If they come to the SEC then we have to deal with that. Can you imagine a schedule that includes Bama, Tex, OU, and say maybe Fla or UGA? Good luck with that. Our schedule is tough enough as it is, don't need to make it worse.
