This will be a good one! I really don’t expect such a high scoring game from either side like last year but it will be a really great game!

I'm liking Tarboro in this one. We'll see. I think neither team will be overlooking the other. Wish I could attend but Bertie is playing Edenton.
This has all the makings of a classic. I don't believe this game is a shootout like last year could be wrong of course. I like tarboro by 6. Just gotta find a way to stop that Hertford QB
Didn't Hertford's QB give you all a lot of problems last season? And congrats on the RM drubbing. Either the Vikes are really, really good this season or RM is down. That game was a beat down.
Yeah he gave Tarboro all sorts of issues last year. They didn't stop our offense though not to mention only two Hertford players played both ways. Tarboro had a lot playing both ways and fatigue came in to play.
Yep. It was a back & forth game. Tarboro was a drop pass away from winning the game. #3 had him beat & just flat out dropped the ball
That turnover right before half hurt tarboro to. We score on that drive they definitely don't catch us.
They have a very quick/shifty Running back too. I think he’s #3. I think Hertford wants to get in a shootout. They were going very quick on offense against Gates Co - and once that QB gets out of the pocket he’s gone.
Trust me when I say that Craddock has been playing for months now for two teams this year lol. They’ll definitely be prepared!
I have no doubt in my mind Tarboro will be more prepared this year.
Looking at the stats from the game last week against Gates county, Hertford has two other running backs that are pretty stout to. I'll go on record and say this will probably be the best offense tarboro will see in the regular season imo. Hertford is very well balanced
Friday's high is 99°. Hope our players drink a ton of water throughout the week. I'm sure craddock will have them doing that. Gotta imagine fatigue may factor in during the game Friday
Kickoff has been pushed back to 7:30 tomorrow night. Gotta imagine due to the extreme heat in the forecast.
What is normal time for your games. We always start at 730. Need time to eat and have a few brooskies before the game
Since about 2016 all Tarboro games have kicked off at 7. It honestly seems like most of the state is going to 7:00 kickoffs
Our jv are at 7 but varsity has been 7:30 for long time. 7 would be fine with me. Get home in time to watch highlights
If a team is traveling on the road a 7 pm kickoff is probably better convenience for them. That way they can get home at a somewhat reasonable time. Our JV is a 6:30 kickoff.
Unrelated to this game, but Northampton county defeated bunn tonight to improve to 2-0 on the year. And given how they have dominated their conference over the years it's very possible they may go undefeated in the regular season. It is possible they could get the number 1 seed in the east since Tarboro is only playing 9 games.
It definitely makes tonight a lot more important than it already was.
I think if Tarboro is 9-0 we still have a good shot of getting the 1 seed because our schedule is a little tougher than Northamptons.
No doubt. Once they factor in RPI Tarboro will have a good shot at getting the one seed. If Tarboro loses tonight though Idk how that would work. I guess Chris Hughes was right about Northampton after all lol.
I don’t think Northampton goes undefeated this year into the playoffs. I think they’ll drop one game in their conference this year honestly. If Tarboro wins tonight, they’ll have the #1 seed in the east on lock, especially if it’s a blowout.
They may lose to Wilson prep. I still think Northampton should win that one though. If Tarboro wins tonight I think we have a great shot at the one seed. Gotta win tonight though
Tarboro wins 49-22. Great job by our coaching staff for the defensive game plan coming in. Holding a team that scored 56 points on Tarboro last year to just 22 is a pretty good job.
Hertford County talked all that trash about coming to Tarboro to take over just to get punched in the mouth the way they did lol. Crazy!
I saw of a few of their players jawing at Tarboro players during the Viking jacks. Usually that never turns out well.
That is pretty good holding the Hertford offense to 22. The Viking coaches must have figured out how to limit the Bear's QB and the players executed that plan. Up here in my part of the state, Mount Airy is looking like a steam roller again and crushed what is usually a good East Surry team on Friday night. Very likely the Vikings and Bears see each other in December again this season.
