I grew up in Hershey and my dad was a Hershey Foods Exec. If you're not familiar with the company hierarchy, Milton Hershey had no kids and left his entire fortune in a trust and the trust's main purpose was to support the Milton Hershey School, which was a school for orphans at the time (not anymore). The trust also owns the majority of Hershey stock. Everything about that town revolves around the company and when board members of the Hershey Trust considered selling the majority of stock to Wrigley several years ago, the board got removed and replaced. A company called Mondelez tried to do it again and...well...same thing all over again.
