Is it possible AD Herman used her comments at the Court Club meeting along with judicious leaks, to rile this all up publicly?

Sounds like a potentially worthwhile strategy if one is truly hamstrung from above by the politics of the money.

Media savvy and shrewd are things never associated with rutgers athletics. But it's possible jelly. It's also possible that it was cooked up with lesniak ahead of time. Maybe luicci had something to do with it.

The same posters who admonished us for discussing JH's facilities message at the Court Club meeting have now swung around to to the position that it may have been a brilliant move on JH's part to drop that hot potato at the meeting.

If JH works with Lesniak to put the pressure on Barchi to solicit additional state funding, wouldn't that in essence be undermining her boss's wishes ? I can't think that Barchi would like his subordinate going over his head in this matter. Insubordination has never been a hallmark of job security for an employee.

Unless Barchi is in on it as well, as this shields him from the pressure Christie has exerted over him.

I am now convinced, Julie Herman is an omnipotent diabolical megalomaniac. "Everything is going according to the plan of my own design. BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

If this was intentional, it would be incredible political shrewdness on her part.

But although Hermann has many strengths, I'm pretty sure incredible political shrewdness is not one of them.

Nope - this is people not happy with the message getting the word out.

Its Julie's job to grab this opportunity to do something positive. She can not be seen as letting outside forces take over her job on this. She needs to team with Lesniak, not be run over by him. Thats critical

But 5-10 years of no action is not acceptable.

well in lesniak's latest interview he is critical of herman and her silence----- "Lesniak, who criticized Hermann for not speaking out more on the issue
in his interview with NJ Advance Media, wrote about the "great pride''
in Rutgers as his alma mater." she's crazy like a fox? let's see if she starts talking at least to him but her talking about doing a study looks like a classic cop out

I'm as good looking as a garbage can so I can the last word I ever associate with our Ad is Fox.

I would love to know she's that smart and bold.

Outside of her getting into trouble for a drunken babble in a wedding video, all of the "gaffes" have been because she lacked a filter causing her to be too honest. That's her nature. Ask a question and, especially if she feels like she is in a friendly crowd, you will get brutally honest answers and opinions.

She clearly said it was not for publication. I am certain she was not being clever. She was just saying where she and Barchi stood on the subject.

Nope. Needs to take advantage of the chain of events though. And nothing concrete out of this is failure.

Really? Infront of the biggest fans and bloggers of the Rutgers BB.

People in her position don't do anything without calculated it first.

Overthinking. The posters on this board think more about RU sports than anyone in the athletic department does.
