i guess it was a bad comparison.
my point was that K-State has been completely irrelavent for years, until Beasely went to "the other Manhattan".
not saying i wouldnt cheer for a guy like that if/when they came to State, i'm just happy not to have been put through the wringer once they leave. makes too much "what if they'd stayed one more year?" talk to be fun...

But he should sue whoever came up with the rule to make a kid go to college before going to the NBA. Because that rule has cost him millions. College basketball has a way of exposing players like Hopson. Basketball fans in the SEC are finding out what the rest of us who had actually seen him "compete" already knew.

Do you honestly believe that "those of you who had seen him compete" are more knowledgable than NBA scouts? If Hopson plays soft and stands around, wouldn't the NBA scouts likely have picked up on it whether or not he played a year of college ball? After all that is what they are paid for. The one year rule is most likely not what cost Scotty millions.
