So, on our last touchdown that we scored, we Kicked the extra point to put us down 17, going for 2 makes it a 2 touchdown game if we convert.

Now, one could argue that the way we were playing didn't matter and there's no way we're converting 3 two point conversions in a row.

But don't you have to try it?

Agree. I honestly think Monty might not see that far ahead yet. I mean he can't see that he should bench Dane yet...Chad should be getting all first team reps in practice and show what he can do on game day. Dane is a below average QB that throws a good deep ball now and then. He makes very poor decisions. I really hope we don't have another stubborn coach that plays favorites and doesn't sit guys to hold them accountable. CB Williams should have been on the bench at half time, Dane should have seen the bench after the 3rd Quarter, especially once he gave the game away and acted like he stopped caring. If i was his teammate, I'd question Monty on his ability to pull guys when the time comes. Starting with the CBs, then Dane.

Williams got yanked in the 2nd quarter and Barrow went in. Williams came back in during the 3rd quarter when Thomas got hurt.

Apparently Chad must not be a better passer than Dane or he would be out there playing full time. Go back and see how many times Dane had two seconds to get rid of the ball. How can anyone be successful at QB when the pocket is collapsing in two seconds ? How can a defensive back lock down a receiver when the QB has over 6 to 8 seconds to scan the field ? Our line play is weak . The skill positions get all the headlines , but it's the linemen who make the difference. Our interior D -Linemen never gave Lynch much trouble all night...it was a shooting gallery. On offensive line do you see any Austin Chadwick's, Tyler Holmes, Brian DeShanes, Mark Romines ? I watch the center make three procedure penalties and miss his blocks while watching Dane get his *** sacked. He blocks like he is a matador.

Well said! Thus all the initial recruits are OL, well that plus graduation...

It's not even close. Evans is a much, much better passer. Benching Dane would make no sense...he's Tulsa's best option at QB.

Montgomery is going to play his best QB that gives Tulsa the best chance to win, and that's Evans. President is a great athlete and a great runner, which is why they have a package for him, but he is nowhere near the same level as Dane as a passer and doesn't have the same grasp on the offense either.

I'm not a "Evans apologist". He made several mistakes last night, including the fumble and a bad interception. But he also completed 24 of 36 passes for 421 yards and 4 TDs while being under pressure much of the night.

Not going to get involved in the argument against Dane, because I believe in the coach and if Dane is our best option then I'll stand by that decision 100%, but as open as KG was all last night, I could have thrown for 400 yards.

I'm not an apologist and he does frustrate me at times but I don't think dane is a bad qb especially not as bad as it seems most do. I do think he is very limited at avoiding pressure and many times he has one read and is passing it there no matter what but I think he throws a nice ball most the time. One problem is everyone thinks every qb we have should be Paul Smith and that's just not going to happen. Also our line used to be one of the best during those times and our run game was solid. This is first year in the system for the whole team and we are still putting up a good amount of points. Our defense at times looks improved but give up too many big plays and too many 3rd down conversions. Defense looks a little slow. This is my opinion and I know it means nothing but thought I would express it anyways.

Watching the game on Friday, I was most frustrated with the penalties we were drawing on critical plays both offensively and defensively. We had 3rd and 10 against Memphis when we were down by 7, the D line gets a sack and drives that lanky bastard to the turf, meanwhile #6 on defense holds a player who didn't even get a pass thrown his way. It prolonged their drive, gave them a TD, and the game was out of reach thereafter. Dane made a bad gaff with his fumble, but it was already fait accompli at that point.

Dane is the best Tulsa has right now...... love the coaching staff mixing in President at the right times.
