You clearly didn’t sense my sarcasm but I do 100% agree with you. A lot of the varsity parents now believe that since you win cracker bowls lead to varsity success.Cracker bowls mean nothing at this level. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, but there’s just a big difference in 12-14 yr olds and 17-18 yr olds, coaching staffs, etc!
Are they shotgun spread? I see so many coaches try to run that offense and just do not have the OL or Skill guys to do so.I was hoping changes would happen week 5 and not week 8 if their are changes. Swain offense is the worse in conference but their D is top notch on the run. I believe if #2 was QB and running the veer or under center this team would upset some top teams. I believe this Andrew team has run the table in youth and JV when their the older team so their not many people shock as they have the best back field in the conference. It could be a long road for Swain if change aren't made on offense as they might not win a game here on out. Hayesville, Murphy, and Cherokee can score and Swain cant at this point.
Yes their running out of shotgun and the oline just not getting it done. Are they shotgun spread? I see so many coaches try to run that offense and just do not have the OL or Skill guys to do so.
Hope so man but with out change on the offense side of the ball I don't see it happen unless the D puts up 21 points.Hayesville May just be the medicine Swain needs to get momentum going. I think Swain will dominate this game.
Happens every time, sad to see in public and on an open, accessible forum. It’s almost as if giving up on children who have no choice or say in their leadership yields an adverse reaction or something.Did not take long for the Maroon Devil "faithful" to bail on the Devils this year. I think the Maroon Machine can still turn it around but their needs to be some definite changes on the offensive side of the ball. Lots of new coaches with not a lot of experience will get you where the program is at now. A lot of loud voices finally got their chance to make a "change" but it seems they have taken a cracker bowl winning team and made it into a catastrophe.
I guess both of us were wrong! To both parts, no.
The offense was tweaked, under center with 2 at qb, should have been that way all season, at this point it’s play calling and line play. This is shaping up to be one of the worse seasons from Swain EVER with potentially not winning a single conference game. All these “new” coaches with no coaching experience have got to go. They might have been decent players for swain but coaching is lack. Hope Holt can get it figured out, this team should not be this bad…..I guess both of us were wrong!
I’m not sure if swain has went winless in conference play EVER. A few 1 win seasons but to go completely winless is unheard of here…..The offense looked alot better and swain had more 1st down this game then all season. The play calling and line play just hasnt been their all season but the D wasn't the same D last night. Kid looked like they didn't want to play from my view and no energy at all. When was the last time swain didn't win a game in conference?
