Big 10 looks terrible, SEC has some really great games and good teams.
So what, just need to focus on Nebraska one week at a time and enjoy it. We have played up to expectations these last 2 games and pummeled weak competition.Big 10 looks terrible, SEC has some really great games and good teams.

UCLA didn’t exactly represent with prideDetails explain thoughts... I don't see it... cause Alabama beat a weak Wisconsin?
I guess when there are really only two main conferences, it doesn't make sense to talk about the weakness of one vs. the other. Old habit.Details explain thoughts... I don't see it... cause Alabama beat a weak Wisconsin?
The way the BIG expanded is my theory as to why it just doesn’t seem as entertaining or as cohesive as the SEC. The SEC has maintained a mostly regional footprint with teams that have had rivalries for decades. While the BIG stretches from coast to coast with a bunch of manufactured rivalries.
Only a B1G fan would think scoring points is a sure sign of a bad teamMeh.
Their supposed best team has an all world QB that was 11 for 25 for 115 yards in a pathetic 27-10 win over UTEP.
Their supposed 2 best other teams scrapped to an old WAC conference final of 44-41 in OT.
The old and real SEC was dominant defenses the previous 2 decades. Those days are long gone.

Texas, A&M, and Arkansas were all in the same conference back in the day as was OK and Missouri. All of those matchups make much more sense historically and geographically. As opposed to Oregon flying to Evanston Illinois or USC flying to West Lafayette for 11:00am kickoffs. Point being the BIG is a watered down product that favors quantity over quality.Right.
Who can ever forget the Texas/Alabama rivalry
I haven't seen a single team look dominant. Right now I think PSU is the best overall but this year looks like it could be very wide open for playoff spots.Minny losing to Cal? Who had that one? Yikes...and K-State's 1-3 with 8 games to go, which means their seaaon, which started bout 5min ago, is already 33% over.
Me.Minny losing to Cal? Who had that one?
Illinois looks really good...I haven't seen a single team look dominant. Right now I think PSU is the best overall but this year looks like it could be very wide open for playoff spots.
A defensive coach would tell you that defense was great because SEC offenses were behind the times. They didn't the run the option but they also didn't run more advanced offenses like the west coast, they didn't have mobile qbs, run mesh concepts. The level of complexity in the game today from an offensive perspective is overwhelming. We have one of the architects of great offense from the past as an OC, and he runs the same stuff as everyone else...the staple of the dominant defense was a big and fast dline, you can kind of circumvent this with a mobile qb, a quick passing game, and zone read option...not completely...but to the point where we aren't getting 6-3 games anymore. And, great defense is built with depth. Players get hurt, and if there is a 5 star behind them the production doesn't drop. In NIL era, there isn't a lot of depth, as the backups aren't getting paid.Meh.

Right.

And yet the B1G has three teams in the top 4 of the rankings. We have the reigning National champion and 4 of the top 9 in the rankings. Would be too 8 but they seem to have a Texas lovefest because their loss was to a B1G team and they somehow got by a one win UTEP yesterdayThe way the BIG expanded is my theory as to why it just doesn’t seem as entertaining or as cohesive as the SEC. I’m not even talking about national rankings. What I’m talking about is the consistent quality of matchups between conference foes and sheer entertainment value. What would you rather watch the electric atmosphere of UGA vs UT or the snooze fest of Oregon vs Northwestern? And yet the B1G has three teams in the top 4 of the rankings. Do you really believe UGA plays Tennessee every week and Oregon plays Northwestern every week. You can’t nitpick their top match-up of the week against the B1Gs worst. We have barely started conference play as we don’t throw an easy game into the middle of November like the SEC does.I’m not even talking about national rankings. Why is OP upset that the pedo B1G looks awful. I love when B1G teams lose (outside of Nebraska of course ). I would love to work out a deal with SEC to take us and mizzou methheads to the B1G
I’m talking exclusively conference matchups, non-conference is irrelevant. Name a single rivalry game other than Michigan vs OSU that has any sort of national prominence in this conference?Do you really believe UGA plays Tennessee every week and Oregon plays Northwestern every week. Who would you rather watch next weekend? Nebraska versus Michigan or Tennessee vrs UAB? Maybe you liked watching Texas play UTEP this week or you are on pins and needles waiting to watch them play Sam Houston state next weekend. How about #9 Illinois at #22 Indiana over LSU playing Louisiana Tech? Or undefeated Michigan State at undefeated USC versus watching Vanderbilt play one win Georgia State.
Point being is there are good and bad matchups in each conference.
What does that have to do with anything? Last I checked, Texas still plays OU (and aTm) and Alabama plays Auburn (and Tenn). I know the B1G maintained similar matchups, but you're changing the argument when you try to make that point by just cherry picking 2 teams that play one another from a conference.
OU and Mizzou were in the MVIAA with NU by 1920. Mizzou and NU were original members. That conference evolved, added members and then the state U’s broke off to form the Big 6. The remainder evolved into the Missouri Valley Conference. As for the expansion, USC and UDub are historical West Coast FB programs and of course the Ducks have been solid for a couple of decades. UCLA is occasionally good. Inappropriate geographic match? Sure. Watered down product? No.Texas, A&M, and Arkansas were all in the same conference back in the day as was OK and Missouri. Because B1G fans are all just as sensitive, depraved and deep blue as their beloved own-fart-huffing conferenceWhy is OP upset that the pedo B1G looks awful. I picked Cal on my ESPN College Pick Em. Just a hunch. Road game and late AF for Minnesota and Cal’s played decent ball this year. They also were very much close to being a 10-2 team last year. They were similar to our 3-9 season and I figured they’d at least be better the next year, so far they’re showing it.Minny losing to Cal? Who had that one? Yikes...and K-State's 1-3 with 8 games to go, which means their seaaon, which started bout 5min ago, is already 33% over.
How quickly they forget B1G schools kicked us out of the AAU and wanted us out of the conference for wanting to play football during the bad flu seasonBecause B1G fans are all just as sensitive, depraved and deep blue as their beloved own-fart-huffing conference
All the Big 10 rivalries are still intact including what I consider the biggest rivalry in all of college football in Ohio State/Michigan.
Both conferences sold out for the almighty dollar. That shouldn't be that hard to understand.
It seems many Husker fans are suffering from Stockholm syndrome with the affinity they have for the BIG. Are we forgetting our peers voted us out of the AAU and the harsh treatment during Covid? All the while being a top 3 brand in the conference when it comes to revenue generated. Why is OP upset that the pedo B1G looks awful. I love when B1G teams lose (outside of Nebraska of course ). I would love to work out a deal with SEC to take us and mizzou methheads to the B1G

Which is exactly why it's important to have an expanded playoff. In the past the SEC just got the benefit of doubt.I haven't seen a single team look dominant. Right now I think PSU is the best overall but this year looks like it could be very wide open for playoff spots.
