Not that we were ever in the running with this guy (5* WDE), just saying.

That's the implication. Difficult to imagine a high school kid driving a $50k truck otherwise. But I honestly don't know, his parents could be rich.

is it against the rules for a booster to give money to a relative for a vehicle or just hard to prove? seems like that is how this things are done with impunity.

It's both against the rules and hard to prove.

I was just messing around. I remember riding by that place in my beater wishing I hadn't been an undersized linebacker who couldn't tackle...

I had statistics in Dorman with Pernell McPhee and James Carmon. Every day I'd see them leave in Carmon's old *** Caprice (or maybe a Lumina). It was funny watching them get in and seeing his car drop about a foot. Those old shocks and struts under their weight sounded like a train putting on the brakes and grinding the rails.

I was at state in the late 90s. Football players drove crap rides unless their parents were well off... the basketball players on the other hand...

Not sure what's funnier, the car story or the idea of having Statistics with those two.

Yeah they did. Hell I had to give Mario Hagan rides to and from class sometimes.

And whoever the broker was for the basketball team must’ve got a deal on mid 90 Maximas cause there were about 3-4 of the same cream colored one

I know there was one that was passed down several times.
