Remember Y2K and the fear!?!?! We got some posters on this site that I KNOW were hunkered down in their bunker getting ready for it to all end.

My New Year’s resolution is simple. No kool aid drinking til Foleys gone/replaced.

The OWH and other mainstream media had my 78 year old mom spun up into a tizzy. She was sure we would have no power or food in the stores. I had a weightlifting/nutrition sodtware package that was actually pretty cool as far as designing meal plans and workouts. It was rather expensive and promptly stopped working at 1201 AM 2000. My only Y2K casualty.

The amount of people running to the stores to buy up all the canned goods and bottled water was amazing!

I knew a guy who worked in tech at the time and they were basically hiring anyone they could to try and "update" their code and stuff. 25 years ago and they were paying I think 18 dollars an hour to anyone that would help them out.

By the way, could you imagine the mainstream news coverage for something like Y2K today??!?!?!
