Doesn't look good. He was suspended by the NCAA after getting caught at Miami. Would think they will come down hard on him if this report is true. I also worry about what he is doing at TU. Naïve to think a guy who broke the rules at his first two schools is now all of sudden following the same at the third.

Well ****.

I would think it wouldn't be hard to get rid of him if he didn't disclose the accusations to us beforehand.
I wonder if Stead Up gets involved with this like he did with the Ross Parmley situation. He didn't let that simmer too long and took immediate action.

Same thing happened with Orsack as President. He had the one public "occurrence" (as far as I know) and then we canned him not too long after.

Some of it sounds like Mizzou's compliance dept. didn't do their jobs regarding the summer internships that were paying for work not done. It may also be rogue donors. Haith still needs to know what's going on with his players though.

Parmley did his thing while employed by TU. Haith appears to be a little different although NCAA violations at your first two stops certainly should get the University's attention not to mention the NCAA.

Timing looks horrible on Haith, but more and more of this seems to be implicating Tim Fuller (lead Mizzou asst) which may be why Fuller didn't come with Haith and why Mizzou got him out as soon as they could. Still looks bad for Haith

Ya, you can't justify Brown getting the sentence he did and let Haith get off. I don't want an atmosphere of violation in our program. We've never been that school. This is a dismiss-able offense to me.

This is extremely disturbing news. I will withhold judgement until I hear Steadman's statements on this.

If someone got hired by a bank and then a year later their previous employer (a bigger bank) was punished by the SEC for multiple violations that occurred in his department... and it had already happened before to him... you don't think said employee would be let go?

Looks bad. Let it play out and wait until all the details come out. Right now I am only hearing the KC Star's story...everyone in KC knows that the Star is pro-KU/anti-MU much like the TW hates TU. (Hell, the TW even had a Summit League 2 page spread highlighting ORU. I haven't seen anything about the AAC).

my guess is this will take a while to settle out. And, 2-0 Temple as well.

TU had better be squeaky clean since Haith arrived.

Haith knew of these violations when he was hired by TU. One would think that TU was also aware of them.

Gragg will be the first out the door if anything happens at Tulsa after he told Stead and the Media this on Haith's hiring.........

"We want somebody who has been successful, first of all," Tulsa AD Derrick Gragg said two weeks ago as he was beginning his search to replace Danny Manning. "Head coaching experience is always a plus, but it's not an absolute. And I like somebody who has pretty much toed the line NCAA-wise. I'm a compliance guy."

Gragg and TU either knew of the violations or Haith failed to disclose the same. Haith knew they were coming out. Can't imagine he didn't tell TU.

We always wondered why Tim Fuller who recruited nearly all those top players at Mizzou did not follow Haith.

Why would Mizzou keep him if he was the one behind the violations? They knew of the issues when Haith departed and chose to keep him on staff. Seems far fetched and something the NCAA would come down on the school for not immediately suspended him. Be surprised if its Fuller.

The press conference starts in one minute. Fuller's name is on a lot according to the Missourian.

Haith lawyer released the following statement per Jeff Goodman, ESPN:

"Coach Haith cooperated fully with the NCAA enforcement staff's investigation and we have been informed by the enforcement staff that Coach Haith will not be charged with any violations and, therefore, has been cleared of any wrongdoing. It has been Coach Haith's position throughout this investigation that he acted appropriately at all times and that he monitored his program and promoted an atmosphere of compliance. The fact that the enforcement staff has not charged Coach Haith with any violations validates our position. Coach Haith wishes the best to the University of Missouri, its men's basketball program and his former student-athletes in getting through this difficult time."

If this is indeed true, good for Coach Haith, even better for TU

I would still say Gragg should at least be reprimanded by Stead. At the time of Haith's hire there was no way to know how deep the allegations went or what the NCAA would do to him (and association Tulsa) this far down the line. That was a big and DUMB risk for Gragg to take.

Meant to post this here, posted in the Alley by mistake:

I'm not sure what to think here. Haith's lawyer releases a statement that he has been cleared (good). However, the NCAA sent a notice to Mizzou 4 days before he took the Tulsa job. There is no possible way within 4 days that Haith could be cleared.

IF, Haith told Tulsa about this ahead of time why would Gragg and Stead take a chance on Haith with a pending infraction investigation while Haith was the head coach? As two people who are involved with NCAA Compliance it seems like a pretty large risk to have taken.

My recollection is that they knew about it but he wasn't personally charged so it wasn't a problem. Does anyone think TU has the booster culture that Miami and Mizzou have been known to have over the years? I don't see him getting in trouble here.

Based on the NCAA, Gragg and Upham statement, there is nothing here, folks. But that won't stop the Haith Haters.

What facts does he have wrong? Channel 6 just basically repeated those facts in its story.

Sorry.. Not a Haith Hater.. Just a Tulsa Fan...

Haith can finish the season; but he needs to seek employment elsewhere...
