Better decision maker , not making stupid mistakes . Seems way more athletic .

Very tough kid .

Pretty accurate passer.

It's not even JUST HH looking better than Sims overall in this game. There just seems to be a grittiness and cohesion that the offense...and the entire team is playing with. This is the first time I've seen an offensive identity in quite some time.

It's almost like the team is behind him as being the guy.

Well, I can’t think of a reason to go back to Sims. As an athlete, Sims is definitely more explosive, but the risk just isn’t worth the reward. Keep developing HH, hope the D holds up, the O-line improves and that we develop a passing game. I do believe we would be 2-1 had HH started from the jump and that’s enough for me to roll with him.

This O needs a manager who isn't going to make dumb mistakes that kill drives and costs games. HH provided that this game and more. Sims should be on the outside looking in.

I’m not saying the coaches shouldn’t try to find a better quarterback in the portal. They absolutely should.

But out of the guys that are on campus right now? Heck yeah, HH is the choice. And it’s not close.

He has definitely played well. Made waaaay less mistakes than Simms. Probably a lower ceiling than Simms. But Simms floor is so incredibly low.

It’s lower competition than Simms played. But HH looks like he can handle this and can win us more games.

But do not be surprised if we go back to Simms when he’s healthy. He’s the coaches hand picked guy.

lower ceiling?

this is his first start outside of class C1

sims's ceiling is HH's floor

Simms' ceiling has irreparable flood damage that can only be fixed by switching to WR.

and I don't buy that he's "more explosive". Even if he were, that means nothing when he stands in the pocket oblivious to pressure.

HH is decisive and commits to action, which could've singlehandedly won the past two games

Haarberg!! If loving you is Kong, I don’t wanna be right.

I don’t care if it’s ā€œonlyā€ Northern Illinois; this guy is a gutty gamer. Man, it feels good to see that under center again at DONU.

Simms has a crazy high ceiling. The dude is a specimen. I know you’re on the HH train, but if Simms had it between the ears he could be special. But instead, he is a turnover machine.

I have it between the ears but I am not a specimen. Makes me equal to Sims

6-5 215
6-4 220

Not really a size difference

All I am saying is that Simms was an elite 11 QB. Scouts rave about his potential. He has a very high ceiling. But his floor is so low. He makes terrible mistakes and turns the ball over like crazy.

HH played well. of he gets his deep ball figured out, he could be great.

I felt like I watched HH grow a lot in just one game.

I don't know how you don't start HH after this game. We'll probably need both HH and Sims this year.

So Haarberg was solid, not spectacular. And that is enough against a lot of teams on our schedule.

Solid QB play probably would have us 3-0 right now.

Who give a ****, they looked pretty okay, regardless of competition. I watched #12 Utah not even look as good against Weber State today from the stadium.

smothers doesn't survive today's game

he can't beat out the kid he's competing with at his D2 school

get on board or get run over
I've already stated play HH for the rest of the year. Who cares, Nebraska won't win **** with him. Go out and get a legit qb in the portal. Pony up the money and get someone worth a damn...
