I thought Kentucky being homecoming would be afternoon. That’s the only game we’ll get to this season and I was banking on it at that time for several reasons. Dammit. I see it as TBD on the app.

Last year the circumstances were almost identical during UF-UGA week, only four games as well. The four time slots were 2:30 CBS, 3 pm SECN, 6 pm ESPN, 6:30 pm SECN. No 11 am game.

If that holds true this year I feel almost certain we will be the 6:30 SECN game.

I never hope for a 11 AM game but I’m hoping for the Kentucky game to be 11 AM. I believe the city of Madison decided to make trick or treating on the day as the Kentucky game. My only hope of going is 11 AM.

Downvote away… I’d downvote it too.

CBS - UGA/Florida
ESPN Night - Ole Miss at Auburn
ESPN 11am - State v. UK
SECN - Mizzou at Vandy

Sucks, but unless they forego the 11am game, I think that's going to be it.

That's my guess too. Of course, that all changes if Kentucky beats Georgia. Then we'd get the 6:00 game on ESPN.

Oof I just realized that Kentucky is the Homecoming game. For some reason, I thought it was going to be TSU.

We haven't lost a Homecoming game since Houston during Mullen's first season in 2009.

Penn State and Ohio State are playing that day, as are Michigan and Michigan State, so those are going to be the 'feature' games even if one of those four teams loses in the next 2 weeks. Fox won't have a college game on that night because of the World Series, so unless Fox makes one of them their 'Big Noon Kickoff', they'll both be on ABC/ESPN. Iowa vs Wisconsin is already set for 11 am that day, so I'm assuming that's the Fox 'Big Noon' game though.

State vs Kentucky (or Auburn vs Ole Miss for that matter) isn't drawing viewers away from any of those games, so I don't think there's anything stopping it from being the SECN night game. There's nothing precluding an SEC game from being on ESPN2 or ESPNU, right? I feel like that would be a more likely landing spot for Auburn vs Ole Miss than ESPN 'proper'.

I don't know what ESPN's flexibility is for substituting non-sec games into "SEC" slots on ESPN or what obligation, if any, they have to fill SECN slots. If they have other good games they have the rights to, it would make sense for them to put it at the 11am or 7pm slot and put our game on the SECN. Plus, they occasionally need to put nationally relevant games on the SECN to make carrying the SECN more desirable. Hopefully that can and does happen. Would hate to lose some homefield advantage against UK. We are going to need it.

I don't think there are any set SEC slots for ESPN. Any game can be on any platform at any time (except only the SECN game can be in the 2:30-5:30 time slot). They just always put an SEC game in the prime 6:00 and 11:00 ESPN slots because the SEC is the big money maker.
