I am concerned about the guard play. No breaking down the player in front of them, than driving the paint to either layup or dish off to a big, i.e., Cliff. Against BU I was struck how Fernandes did not try to drive past the white guard from BU who did not appear to be very quick or athletic. The same can be said for Simpson, JMike and A. Williams. This does not bode well when the caliber of opposition athlete improves down the road. The poor play of the guards is why I believe Cliff has been so ineffective the first two games.
