The teams look pretty even. Neither defense is putting much pressure on the quarterback. Flores looks good. Very accurate, nice touch and velocity when needed. I expected Westside to push them around a little bit, but not so

Granted there's a wind. But Westside kicker practically puts it out of the endzone. Yes it was from the 40 but college kicker should be able to do it from the 35 EVERY FRICKING time

Apparently Flores didn't look good at the Friday Night Lights camp last year...but he's looked in every game I've seen him play. Very quick release.

Gretna got screwed by the refs at the end of the half. Still should have been a TD kid has to catch that.

Putny mentioned at the start of the game Iowa State and Nebraska who have showed interest in him..

Bad QB fumble, muffed punt, and about 3 dropped passes in just a few minutes of watching the second quarter. That’s not too impressive for a championship game.

I’ve been high on Flores, and he looks good.

Lol. There's times when I get VERY close to giving donation and I have in the past. But then they revert to being left wing you know what and I put my checkbook away. Just like I might with unl now after this week

So somebody smarter than me want to explain why the clock didn’t stop after the Westside penalty and basically took about 2-3 chances away from Gretna at the end of the half???

I did not see it but was it a penalty on a live ball?

Westside had too many men the field (1 was late coming off) while Gretna was snapping the ball. Clock was running at the time of the penalty.

Credit both QBs for standing tall in the pocket with unblocked pressure barreling down. Not sure I could do that.

I get playing in Memorial...but it is such a big place and look sooooo empty for these games...is there another way?

Not charge admission?
Raffle off skyboxes for the game?
I have no idea and maybe it is great for the kids that play and they don't even care.

I don’t think we have a medium sized stadium that could accommodate. Seacrest inLincoln is maybe 6k? I’m not sure about Omaha.

Refs are incompetent, basically Big ten quality

Caleb Benning made a lot of nice tackles and had a nice route/catch.
Coming off a broken back (Damon said) looks good as a sophomore.

PS Flores throws better than Martinez, not even close.

but I stand by my statement

Yeah...I don't know, maybe just home games for the higher seeded? I mean...this game would have 4-5K at westside probably...
