Matt Keller here, formerly of another site, now a contributor to WVsports.com.

Began covering WVU when I was 17 years old. First press experience was No. 1 Ohio State against No. 11 West Virginia in 1998.

Covered almost continuously from then until I moved to Arizona in 2008, and picked it back up upon my return in 2012.

Have worked for multiple news agencies covering the Mountaineers, including the Associated Press, the DA, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and, for a long time, the Blue & Gold News. Have developed a really strong relationship with Keenan Cummings, whose work I have always admired and respected.

Anyway, looking forward to anything I might be able to add to this site, which to me has always had a really healthy relationship with its readers and the message boards. Lot of good topics and conversations.

We're really excited to have Matt working with us. Most of you are probably familiar with his work, he's been one of the top guys in the WVU market for many years. For the first week or so try to treat him with respect and then after that you can give him the same trouble you give Keenan and myself. :smiley:

I was a senior in HS when I went to that game. That muffed kickoff return killed it. We were in that game until that happened...

Agreed. Just dive on the loose ball; don't try to advance it. Had a major chance there. Ohio State was certainly better, but it wasn't a talent gap that couldn't be overcome.
