Great road win for new staff and new system. Line played good on both sides of the ball when they needed to. Running backs and receivers had a good game. Linscott was all over the field. Dane over threw receivers at times but otherwise had a good game. Had to settle for too many field goals. Finally, New Mexico helped us with all their penalities. Congrats team!!!

woo hoo finally celebrating a 2-0 start with the possibility of a bounce back first year coach season

I called it when I had to cancel the trip due to family illness - I never get to see a road win. So, oops there it is

Not a bad win. More impressed with win over FAU. New mexico will be lucky to get 4 wins. FAU has much more talent. Looking forward to next week and beyond, hoping we open up the offense a bit more w new sets/plays.

Anyone know status of injuries: Blake Belcher, Jeremy Smith, Craig Suits

I would expect some more read/option plays. Felt there were several situations where Evans should have kept the ball. Since he doesn't do it as often, it would really catch the D off guard. 4th & 3 from the 38 I think he needs to hold the ball and catch the DE crashing as UNM did all night. The heavy doses of run we saw are going to start setting up some nice play action passes on 1st down later in the season.

I was also impressed with Evans last night. His deep ball didn't quite have the touch he had last week with 2-3 overthrows when Key and Keevan were open, but I didn't see a single throw that was in danger of being picked. Ball security was superb last night.
